Barton Health Receives $10 Million for Center of Excellence

Posted: 04/17/2015
South Lake Tahoe, CA - This past Wednesday, April 15, Lisa Maloff donated $10 million for the Robert Maloff Center of Excellence to the Barton Foundation.

Lisa Maloff and her late husband, Robert, have always had a heart for wellness and improving the community.  She is a long term resident of Tahoe’s South Shore and was a founding member of the Barton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

The award was accepted by Barton Health staff, Kindle Craig (Director of Strategy and Development) and Chris Proctor (Administrative Director for Tahoe Center for Orthopedics), at the annual  Barton Foundation meeting.  Barton Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Barton Health’s Board of Directors gathered for the event.

Lisa Maloff presented the check. “With the effort and hard work of all these people a dream came true and all I want to say is thank you for allowing me to be a part of it,” Lisa said.

The Robert Maloff Center of Excellence will bring together a focus on wellness, sports performance, orthopedics, and rehabilitation. The Center will be adjacent to Barton Memorial Hospital overlooking Barton Meadow. The Barton Health project is expected to break ground this summer and offer services in early 2017.  Find more information about the Center here or other Barton Health projects at bartonhealth.org
